The crows were Saruman’s spies, and Saruman wanted the ring for himself so I doubt he’d communicated that to Sauron via the palantir. Besides, how would Sauron then communicated this to the orcs far away from Mordor?
Gandalf also tells Frodo that the ring itself calls to him, and he does see and talk to Frodo whenever he put the ring on. Maybe he just used the Track my Ring app. 🤷♂️

Sauron can’t just telepathically communicate with anyone he wants.
The only confirmed way to communicate across distances is via palantir. Maybe Sauron can do it with ringwraiths but that’s just my speculation.
