The principal issue is this, Amazon commingles stock. This means that there is one box for a particular SKU. If a seller sends product to Amazon for fulfillment it gets dumped into the bin with everyone else’s.
This means that if a seller sends counterfeit or poor products to Amazon it gets mixed in with the real ones from other sellers or Amazon’s own stock. This causes major problems as you can see.

It’s personal home page and I don’t care if they retconed it
Most people don’t fake agent strings but the bots sure do.
The actual thing obscured by this graph is the amount of users. Most people use mobile devices now and companies are incentivized to use apps there instead of actual desk top machines.
That has been true for a while. Ever since “the adpocalypse”. I’m surprised you missed it because it felt like every YouTube creator was complaining about it for an entire year ( which I’m not really against, I just don’t give a shit about YouTube inside baseball).
That’s why every video now has " brought to you by… Whatever" in the middle of it.
If you can’t install something like EndeavourOS or tumble weed then you likely were not going to be able to reload an os anyway.
Installing vanilla arch is a very useful activity to do at least once so you know how the system works but don’t have to use vanilla Arch and can use any of the derivatives so long as it has the latest kernel / drivers for your hardware.
On new hardware it’s generally easier to use a rolling release distro in my experience.
You’re more likely to have a newer kernel and drivers that support things like wifi cards.
Nah, I could afford nice shit but I’m still using a ubiquity edge router 8 from 10 years ago.
There is probably something to be said that there is an in between to those two extremes. The “my network is made of a Hodgepodge of shit my employer threw out that still seems to work and brand new things I replaced because I had to”
So, the problem with VPNs is that the cheap ones / resellers have known IPs.
So if you use them you get lumped in with all the people using them maliciously.
If you run a site with any kind of desirable the content the crawlers and scripters hound you endlessly and eventually if you don’t want it to be your full time job you just end up banning the entire IP/ ASN that the malicious traffic is coming from.
It sucks and if anyone has any solutions I’m all ears.
What if instead of a pipe to return the steam we use a freaking laser beam!
The reality is that depending on the crawling architecture someone is watching.
As aggressive as the LLM crawlers are there still have limits so a competently written one will have a budget for each host/site as well as a heuristic for the quality of results. It may dig for a bit and periodically return but if you’re site is not one that is known to generate high quality data it may only get crawled when there isn’t something better in the queue.
