I was sort of interested in a Kei electric minivan for a while. The size is fine, they are cheap, and if you don’t drive much they need no fuel or electricity. You can put enough solar panels on the roof that the van self-recharges in the parking lot enough for a few local grocery runs per week or that sort of thing. Top speed is just 40mph though. It would be great as a 2nd car but with just one, I needed something freeway capable.
