I have one rug in the living room. One time my cat, who is terrified of guests, came all the way downstairs to the living room to puke on the carpet while we had guests over. Once the deed was done, she skittered back upstairs to not be seen again until guests left.
She was just letting you know how she felt about your guests.
When the human cleans up your vomit and now you have to urgently induce one AGAIN in the exact same spot 😾

Mine makes sure he pukes on the hard floor, I guess I’m luckier than I realized.

I will literally relocate my cat from carpet to hard floor and he will run back before resuming his barfing.
I woke up to my cat laying on my chest gagging with eye contact, luckily she didn’t puke but puking on hard floors is quite the luxury
