I find the helicopter flight more impressive than the sky surfing— I thought helicopters had stability issues at those elevations? Do they have helicopters with custom high altitude rotors now?

This makes no sense. That puts the starting height at 29029+20945=~50k feet. The Guinness record for highest helicopter flight is 40,820’.
This article says 20945 was the starting height. Saying this is “over” Mt. Everest is rather misleading.
It’s over the slopes of Mt Everest but not over the summit.
My objection is to using the phrase “20k’ above Mt. Everest” when that’s an altitude above sea level.
This explains it the best and saves typing (sorry, tired).
