      yep. Forums used to be a thing but they have faded a long while ago for things like reddit and discord. Real websites are usually garbage designed to trip search engine results and now it’s a ton of AI slop too.

      So people started including reddit in their search to get the info they wanted. And now reddit has noticed and is leaning into that

        I mean this is just a natural progression of any sufficiently successful company. They’ve successfully maximized their current value so now they must exploit and plunder that value to push into other markets. Its why Netflix has video games, its why YouTube pushes Shorts, and why Facebook got into VR, and why Tesla is getting into AI and robotics and on and on and on…

        Reddit IS a forum, full stop. It’s not a new or unique idea.

        This place is also a forum. You can down vote this post all you like, but you’re still doing it on a forum.
