A twix is a chocolate biscuit bar which has two functionally identical finger-shaped bars in each packet.

They are, by taste, answering whether it was the left or right twix bar from the packet.

Which is especially impressive because the Twix labelling is landscape (both in the US and UK), so the bars only take on the property of left or right when the package is opened. Until then, each bar is in a quantum superstate.

All question should be referred to the department of whimsy and the undersecretary of caprice.

Shit. I thought Caprice was her name. Totally didn’t realize it was a title. Probably sunk my chances of that flirting working out …

The guy has a supernatural ability: he’s able to distinguish between two Twix even though they’re identical. He’s being studied in a lab, possibly to demonstrate his ability scientifically, in a stastistically significant way.

It’s funny because it’s a silly way to break the current scientific consensus. It’s funny to imagine the science team being stumped by this and taking it very seriously.

We’re in NiceMemes so it doesn’t need to be funny. But I don’t get it either.
