After all, why shouldn’t I watch the DVD set again?
I remember watching the VHS from the first movie and became anxious about “The Two Towers”, i was impatient kid the movie was taking a eternity to come in home video.
For years i got a irrational rage against LOTR because of this, until i bought the original the books in 2017 and read all then on the way home from the law school bus, than i bought The Hobbit.
Then i watched both the extended edition and the Hobbit trilogy movies, played both Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, get in the sub on reddit.
It’s almost a decade than i really get into Lord of the Rings, it make me feel really old
Saw it in theaters on release day a few days before Christmas, the place was packed and there was so much anticipation in the air you could barely breathe, and we sat next to this dude and his girlfriend who constantly turned to him throughout the film saying shit like “OH MY GOOOD! Look at their big feet! So cute. Why are they so hairy? But won’t they get cold in the snow?”
Shushing her and glaring at her with pure hatred in my eyes did nothing.
lt’s even worse.
Sometimes it is not kids saying that by now, but parents.
Time flies…
Can confirm, played with my nieces baby over the holidays. My niece was born in 2002.
They had Goonies playing on the TV over the holidays for the kids. I mentioned I had seen that one at the drive-in theater. That was a mistake. Bunch of little savages.
