Some companies and government departments in my country use twitter and facebook exclusively for contact and info/news. It’s insane but I have to keep a passive account for this. Especially the government, because we have an official Mastodon server for that. Ughhh.
The simplicity of town council and other powerful organisations on “many jobs, many smart people, many economyyyy”. There will be a few underpaid foreigners building, and a few security guards and cleaning personnel. Datacenters are as void of humans as possible.
Isn’t it grand, scammers raise close to useless companies, pull “valuations” out of their arses and get boatloads of money from investors, based on those faerie numbers to literally burn the planet with. Then, with the overpriced stock they “invest” in each other, pumping the money round and value even more up. And they, let’s not forget, then capex the fuck out of each other as well. I forgot where I was trying to go with this, but I think it won’t matter much anyway.
