Yes, is that not what I said?

Yes, is that not what I said?

"It’s the only thing that can stop me,”
Famously the type of phrase said by the protagonist in the movies and not the villains.

New Hampshire lawmakers passed a bill Thursday that would require a declaration of war before the state’s National Guard could be deployed in a foreign country.
…
The House first passed such legislation in 2024, garnering national headlines, but the bill hit a wall in the state Senate and likely will do so again.
So… It hasn’t been passed completely yet and will likely fail.

At least it wasn’t “woman who died after an altercation with ICE”.

That driver seems to be an asshole (wanted for sexual assault). But putting your arm into an operational car with somebody behind the wheel who does not want to surrender sounds like the stupidest idea in the world.

“911? Yes, there’s a man with a gun outside a school…”

along with posts about tattoos
I see she has admitted to gang activity.

Homeland security, to which ICE reports, says that there have been a “1,000 percent increase in attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers since" Trump’s inauguration.

Through actual legislation? Or through a backroom deal with companies that he thinks means they were going to do what he wanted but really they’re just getting him off their back?

ICE has killed more people than they’ve saved. With help like this we don’t need enemies…

I was just saying tonight - the fact that we’re seeing more and more of racist Nosferatu means things are getting much worse. They are have dropped all pretense of giving a shit. They’re not even giving us lies anymore. It’s now just “fuck you that’s why”.

Hegseth also announced he issued a formal censure letter that will be placed in Kelly’s official military file.
Badge of honor right there.

I’m not sure they do. Some of them benefit - but a lot of them go out of business. And they need to live in fear of upsetting the leader the whole time.
No business people I’ve met have ever desired an authoritarian state. They work just fine in a democracy.

Yeah - if I cared I probably would. But I don’t.

Not really - no. The US government, despite the common belief, is quite a bit more powerful than any corporation. Trump is fully willing to use the government’s resources to attack companies he simply doesn’t like. He may even go after people in corporate governance personally.
He sanctioned an ICC judge just for disagreeing with him FFS.

I don’t think you people appreciate just how powerful the United States government is and how Trump is picking winners and losers in the economy.

It is.
If they can only muster 52 senators for the first pass there is no chance in hell it will gain more votes to override a veto.
