I even did it over a VPN! I’m shitposting all willy-nilly and not even England can stop me!

The world is a big place and disconnecting gives you a huge boost in privacy. It’s not all black-and-white, but I agree that the surveillance state has become very pervasive.

Wow, the UK sounds like an awful place.

I mean, it kinda still does, but even if they did eventually invade, it wouldn’t necessarily make China the only game in town. There are already other fabrication plants going up around the globe, an invasion would definitely accelerate their development.

“Haha, I accidentally the spinal cord. Whoopsiedaisy!”

If Taiwan gets invaded they’ll just blow their chip fabs, they’ve said as much multiple times and presumably have a plan in place to do it at a moment’s notice. If that’s what China is after I don’t know that an invasion is going to work even if they succeed. It could deny future chip production to other countries though.

They have allowed chiropractors to continue their dangerous scam for decades, so you probably could’ve gotten away with that even before this.
Seems like something that you should sue over, but that’s easier said than done for most folks. If you want to try and help maintain your privacy, use a virtual device or a “burner” that’s only used to access what’s necessary and for nothing else. Keep them off unless you actively need them and deny all unnecessary permissions. It’s not perfect but it’s less bad than giving them even more information to datamine for profit at your expense.
