I remember last year when there was a trend of AI generated videos that depicted animals or people doing ridiculous and crazy things on doorbell cameras. Everyone was surprised at how realistic they looked but never questioned why there was enough training data of doorbell cameras to make them in the first place.
Not that relevant, but it makes it pretty clear how “private” this data was in the first place.
I mean, you took the first sentence out and ignored the rest of what I said. My point was that yes that is a reason, but it’s not the only reason. My point was they don’t wanna sell to consumers because Elon Musk is just gonna pre-order their entire stock for the next two years.
What’s crazy is that they aren’t just doing this because they make more money with AI. They’re doing this because these AI companies have basically pre-ordered a fuck ton of components that have not been manufactured yet to be put into computers that haven’t even been made yet for datacenters that are not even built yet all on an electrical grid that hasn’t caught up. As long as the manufacturers get paid they don’t really give a shit, but this is so unsustainable it would be hilarious if it weren’t so catastrophic for the rest of us. And as long as the line goes up as they all circle jerk their money around they’ll all be happy and can pretend the economy is good.
Nobody in the AI industry, tech, or government cares. He says all the buzzwords and gives them all what they want. What he says is basically irrelevant at this point. Until something actually happens we’re all gonna read about some sort of “gotcha” moment every day as if it makes a difference so we can have our rage moments and move on after we get our dopamine hit by calling him a moron.
Not talking shit on anyone here, I’m just tired. And I’m tired of seeing a similar headline day after day as if it changes anything.
Personally, I’d absolutely love to watch a bunch of white people do competitive speed walking. That shit sounds hilarious. I imagine the commentary would be on par with dog show commentary.
Do the people convicted of crimes related to marijuana get their sentences reclassified too?
If anything, my guess is that number is way higher. I’d imagine they’d rather just lie and say that jobs are actually going up. If they can’t even say that I imagine the numbers are beyond fucked.
Of course they do, they’re not as dumb as she is. She actually believed his bullshit while all the other Republicans are just greedy and/or cowards. The only reason 90% of them even follow along and spew his bullshit is because they have something they want or have something they don’t wanna lose. You can almost see the distain in their faces when he speaks to the press next to them. Whenever I see someone like Mike Johnson speak the only thing I see is a man that desperately wants to take advantage of everyone he doesn’t like but deep down wishes everything would go back to normal. But now he’s too scared to do either so he just says “I don’t know” whenever anyone asks him a question.
My company hired an outside IT guy to help install the new server and server rack a few months ago and after he finished all the phones were down. everyone was panicking and trying to figure out what was going on and they were about to call the guy that set up the server. I went to check it out and when I got in there the first thing I noticed was the power cable was just chillin’ on the floor.
Here’s an experiment for you to try at home. Ask an AI model a question, copy a sentence or two of what they give back, and paste it into a search engine. The results may surprise you.
And stop comparing AI to humans but then giving AI models more freedom. If I wrote a paper I’d need to cite my sources. Where the fuck are your sources ChatGPT? Oh right, we’re not allowed to see that but you can take whatever you want from us. Sounds fair.
