Oh no, my cat immediately starts apology purring and licking if she bites or scratches during playtime.

6·13 days agoI’m not doubting your experience, but I’m curious about the paw damage from scratching? What does that look like?
She would use the scratching posts (that we had to have for the other cat) with her paws, would just break her skin. For the limp, the vet set it was likely nerve pain.

33·13 days agoI had declawed rescue kitty and she had difficulty walking because of it. It also didn’t stop her from scratching stuff, so she damaged her paws frequently.
She was also VERY bitey until we had the time to properly train her (which, you know, they could have done instead of declawing, she was a pretty smart cat)

Flamethrowers use oil products, which are part of petrochemistry. “Petro” comes from the Greek word for “rock”.
Yeah, those are the sane people I mentioned
The worst one I saw was some human-shaped piece of garbage telling people that cancer is actually a fungus and drinking alkaline water will kill that fungus. And if the twelve thousand dollar alkalinization machine is too expensive, they also sell bottled alkaline water.
I was about to explain how water alkalinity is pretty important to environmental scientists (and probably a few more groups that I don’t know about).
And then I googled it.
And now I’m even more disappointed in humanity than I was before
OK, let me rephrase, because i’m misrepresenting the book.
Colonizing Mars is extremely, insanely complex and we have no idea how to even start, and there are SO many better places that we need to try first unless we’re just willing to throw away lives (and trillions of dollars). It goes pretty deeply into all the stuff we either don’t know but need to know, or know but can’t fix, and of course there’s all the stuff we don’t know we don’t know. It discusses the insane logistical effort you need just get the bare minimum going, and how it’s not remotely like living there for a year, or colonizing a new country.
There’s a great book called “A City on Mars” and it’s mostly about stuff like this. Why colonizing mars is absolutely stupid
Also, have you seen how HUGE the thing was?

Realize that I can chose to stop rethinking the thoughts I’ve already thought and replanning the things I’ve already planned.
Find that that’s WAY harder when I’m not physically active.
Get healthy mentally AND physically

14·28 days agoNo distractions. Of course “shit will come up”. Accept it. Don’t react. Let it pass.
And if this is hard, then feel free to react. React once, and move on. If you’ve got that covered, you already went from dozens of reactions to one, and the next step will be easy.

4·28 days agoLove this blog! There’s a great resource for world-building and a wonderful section how some very basic things like bread or iron making actually work in real life in the middle ages.
In a similar way, I can really recommend the “timetravellers guide to” books.
Libertarian.
So yes.
There used to be a show on the BBC called Time Commanders, which was basically some random people playing fancy Rome Total War.
It was simultaneously hilarious and cringe as hell. I distinctly remember shouting “that’s just a decorative bit of scenery, not a watchtower! Fucking ignore it!”

I’m actually a little surprised I haven’t heard or seen a single person say that action shouldn’t be taken against him
Edit: wait no, I’ve seen several posts saying we need to Clinton the same as Trump, which probably comes down to doing nothing, unfortunately.
Once applied, it can be gently shifted into any direction that makes alignment worse.
