You may want to re-term the treat as an hors d’œuvre or amuse-bouche… Unless your dad is really passing alcohol to your little buddy. Either way, she’s being properly spoiled and the courses should expand as her palette develops.

Agreed, but I’m perfectly fine settling for this in the immediate sense. It might actually hasten the better option as they will not be alpha enough for their fanatics.
