I left a few years ago. I didn’t get banned but I did remove my content.

It’s an adjustment. It’s a lot slower, and you have to play with your filters to get your viewing right for you.

There’s not a lot of niche forums like over there or support groups say for example the stremio Reddit. But it’s building and it’s a lot more genuine.

It takes time to build and you are now part of figuring how and where you can contribute. It is a nigggly transaction and you have to stop and remind yourself it’s not Reddit, it won’t be Reddit and you left there for a reason.

I feel like a real grown up now 🤣

I’d like a AI feature that bounces back on any ads or intrusive crap including propaganda. But AI is being pushed by the same people so if it happens it won’t be genuine and it will just evolve to give the illusion of not being pushed.

FF, any browser, any social media platform , I can select ‘I don’t wanna see this’ or go adjust settings to disable but nah, an update later and it’s back, or it comes back under another form.

It’s still manipulation. And I can’t trust it to manipulate ever.

It’s worth a try. It’s only a few min to do. My extensions seem to be all from Mozilla and working fine.

The only real difference is it has a bit of a classic FF apathetic and seems to highlight who’s abusing privacy. I can click that off but I like it.

I also use DDG but that’s gone downhill on its results in the last few years.

I jumped to LibreWolf this week. Really like it, it looks acat and feels the same. But I trust it more. Been a FF user for over 10 years.

Digital Russian roulette was a great way to describe it. People shouldn’t be held hostage on the whims of Apple faceless system. We pay for our products. Taking them away after they have been paid for, and with no genuine reason is theft.

This isn’t really the fault of the average decent American. Many good people have slept walked the country into this situation but miniuplation by tech and the rich has a big part of this. Many are now still likely in denial and don’t know how to fight it.

I think the question is really where is the line for them? Immigrants? The unemployed? Elders?
