Or, it’s time to just stop allowing any shipping traffic to or from St Petersburg. If Russia keeps using civilian vessels from there to perform military acts of sabotage then it seems perfectly reasonable to stop allowing any vessels to travel to or from there. Any ships bound to or from that port need to travel through another countries teritorial waters to access the ocean and at this point they would be well within their rights to stop allowing those ships to travel through their waters. Enough is enough. Russia can either quit their shit or stop having a useful port in St Petersburg.

They’re not talking about the holiday, they’re talking about the etymology of the actual word “christmas” which has its root in the word “christ”. For the whos to have the word “christmas” implys that they also have the word “christ”. Why would the whos have a word for “christ” unless they had their own version of a christ? If the whos didn’t have a christ (mythical or otherwise) then they wouldn’t have any reason to invent the word “christ”. Without the word “christ” the root for the word “christmas” isn’t there so the word " christmas" wouldn’t have been invented.

You’re focusing on the holiday but the actual celebration is irrelevant. It’s the use of the word “christmas” that implys who jesus. It’s the same as if the whos called the holiday “saturnalia” it would imply that they had a saturn.

Oh, my psych asked about putting me on benzos before and I told him the same thing. I ain’t about to risk fucking with one of the very few drugs where the withdrawls are actually lethal.

Same here but with diazepam. I went in to have my gallblader removed a while back and while I was waiting in preop, my anxiety was acting up. I told the nurse about it so they shot some diazepam into my IV. It was at that moment that I knew that I can never be safely prescribed a benzo. Holy shit, the amount of sheer calm that washed over me was mindblowing. I was as zen as the fucking Buddha. Everything was completely ok. My mellow could not be harshed. I have never in my life felt that at ease.

So I know damn well that I could not be trusted with a pill bottle full of that feeling. If I was given a bottle of benzos I would wreck myself faster than a self driving tesla in a construction zone.
