Yeah I remember reading about that recently. I did consider it but figured this would be a good time to try something new. I may eventually switch but I’m liking the change. Plus I still use KDE on my main machine.

I just switched to Debian on my secondary pc, with XFCE as the DE. My main pc is on an Arch-based distro (CachyOS) with KDE so it’s a bit of an adjustment but I’m liking it so far. My secondary pc is mostly just used for watching movies anyway so it doesn’t matter too much, but I like it better than Mint which is what it was running before. I still think I prefer CachyOS but it’s nice to have options.
My wife trained one of our cats to play fetch just a few days ago! She absolutely loves it now (the cat, not my wife. Though my wife does still have fun with it).
I’ve got two computers. My gaming pc is running CachyOS, and my other computer which is basically for messing around with and watching movies, used to be running Mint, but I just today switched over to Debian with XFCE as the DE and I’m liking it so far. Super bare bones but that’s what I wanted for this computer anyway so it works great for me.
I’ve been considering this actually.
On my main pc, which I mostly use for gaming, I’m running CachyOS, which was great when I actually had time to play games, but I’ve got a kid now and just got promoted to manager so I don’t really have a lot of time these days. I have a second pc which is technically a laptop but the battery is completely gone (and it’s also somewhat old now) that I’ve been planning on using more for office-y stuff. I’ve currently got it running Mint but I’m heavily considering hopping to Debian.

Since we’re talking about cats with a ball…

My Islay looks like your June Bug.

Isn’t that Margit’s opening line?

I’m in a similar field and I’m pretty sure if I told them I was drunk they’d tell me “yeah me too, now come in to work”.
I can’t lie, that’s one of the reasons I moved over to CachyOS a few months back. It’s not the only reason, but it’s been my favourite distro for sure that I’ve tried. It’s the first one that really felt good to me.

I’m not sure if it’s possible but a mini pro but with good battery life would be the ultimate phone for me personally. I’m basically always on my feet but use my phone a lot so a large battery is important, but I also want a small phone and a good camera. I doubt that’ll happen though.

Yeah that was basically my thought too. I probably do less than a quarter of that on average, but that’s not really the point. I should be allowed as much time as I want. Not that I use a Nvidia subscription anyway, but still. This makes me mad on behalf of other people.
Oh huh, that’s good to know. If I decide to switch from XFCE I’ll go to KDE.
