EDIT: Missed in article, yeah this would suck if they stick to soldered RAM for ultra-thins.

Another problem manufacturers face is with notebooks that ship with soldered DRAM. In particular, ultrathin designs would need to be revamped to modify their configurations.

We don’t need/want a huge TV, so we just use a monitor with an external speaker and dedicated media box.

Smart TVs these days are just too invasive to even consider in my home.

There would need to be an ongoing fund set up, somehow, not beholden to Google or other big players.

I’d be willing to pay a few bucks a year, for the rest of my life, if I knew it would pay devs who maintained a user-friendly browser; surely there must be enough of us out there?
