So to be clear there is no real gameplay or even non-placeholder sprites. What I do have is my most basic core functionality optimized as best I know how to do for the time being and I’d love some feedback on anything I could optimize further before getting into the weeds with fleshing out the project.

Controls so far are:

  • WASD/Direction Pad to move
  • Tap A/Z to throw objects
  • Hold A/Z to recall objects

Thrown objects that miss will be instantly re-called as I can’t find a means to activate the recall object on the end point of a projectile as that part of the plugin is broken.

Thrown objects that hit the test target in the top middle will be retained until re-called at which point they will run back.
