I bought a Fairphone 3 for the reparability but the damn thing just won’t break! I don’t think I’ve abused any phone as much as the FP but it just keeps chugging along without so much as a tear in the screen.
I think it’s because of the frame reaching half a mm or so above the screen and the battery cover opening up when I drop it.

I don’t know where and I don’t remember when but I’ve seen some investigation that phones with detachable covers and batteries survive falls better because those moving parts disperse the energy of the fall better, instead of all the shock going into the next stress point - the screen or the glass on the back
I got a Fairphone 4, thing’s survived many a fall. It’s a Shame that fairphone doesn’t ship spare parts to the US, makes sourcing those parts much harder.

Fully expect my FP5 to do the full promised 10 years. Maybe a battery replacement eventually? But I am not kind to this phone and it does great
Thanks for the tip bro I’m worn out
