When old cells are damaged they are at risk of turning into cancer. Many of them rather die (apoptosis) or turn senescent (in that case they can’t produce melanin to make color of hair).
Does this have any implication for people that have grey hair early on vs people that only get it later in life?
Well not having hair is very similar to having grey hair in terms of asthetics precived by most people, so this isn’t really the trade we are making.
Yes, the trade is between having color hair or cancer.
Gray hair can look lovely. I accept
One can’t say the same for skin cancer.
