Sounds like an aristocratic young woman in the 1800s. A young commoner woman would be made to work hard all day before she is even old enough to be called a “woman”. Then again, aristocratic women don’t do cooking or laundry. Fairly confusing TBH. Maybe a really poor aristocratic family? They probably weren’t all wealthy enough to afford a full set of servants.

Middle class. The middle class is really odd, especially in this period, wherein ‘thrift’ and ‘hard work’ are valued, but not in the public sphere.
