I’ve never lived in a home or an apartment with a gas stove. These places have had gas lines, but people weren’t interested.

The actions of the US and Russia in the past several years has been a great argument for nations to build nuclear stockpiles. Which is bad globally, but is a totally reasonable reaction

I hate it, but unless the world begins stationing defenses in Greenland there’s no chance. The US doesn’t even need aircraft. They have ballistic missiles that can reach from the mainland to Greenland.
The US spent decades ensuring it can project power anywhere in the world at any time, and don’t think Greenland is a unique environment for the US military. Several northern Alaskan bases have been in operation since the cold war. They know the environment.
It’s scary. I’d imagine all cities would be lost within days and the most remote areas would be able to host an insurgency. See Afghanistan, but if the US is going to annex Greenland they will throw even more resources at it

I mean historically revolutions commonly involve military defectors/coups. No garuntee that will happen though

Unless the EU gets rapidly closer to China I doubt it. We’ll probably see the general Euro Zone vs. China for the century.

The Tienanmen Square protesters had captured stockpiles of small arms, how’d that go?
A small force occupying an urban square will not work. And was not the methods used by any group I mentioned. Yes if you sit in one spot superior numbers and technology always win.
Which is why every example I gave you didn’t do that. Tactics do matter. Some revolutions succeed some do not. Either way you need guns

Nope, every time this country has put in some kind of “test” to access a right it’s ultimately used by racists to disenfranchise people of color and anyone else they find undesirable.
Maybe a mandatory class that’s simple based on attendance could work, but anything that requires someone making a subjective call will be abused

Disagree, arms can absolutely be used to resist tyranny. Look at any resitance movement in history. They were effective. French resistance, Viet Cong, Taliban, etc.
Each of these were far out gunned, but they won. In the case of the French resistance is probably more accurate to say they were effective then the allies showed up, but still.
There’s more of a lack of willingness to rebel in the US. Power works, people have food, and the largest demographic of the population isn’t being shipped off by ICE.

Oh yeah it is, but like you said unless congress grows a pair scotus is rouge

For now anyway.
If I recall the only reason US rights apply to non-us citizens is a supreme court ruling. Scary to think about those implications
Probably breaks some international law too

And at least in the case of Louisiana it really won’t be an issue in about 100 years. It’ll be gone

The Christmas Cassowary only cares that you are. They take offense to that
I’ve seen people way out there be able to run septic systems. We’re talking miles of dirt road through the mountains
Also have you even traveled the rural US? You can usually get electricity in the middle of absolutely no where. Thank FDR for that one.
Basically it’s perfectly possible to meet the shack in the woods definition in either of our models. You can find a place without access to these things in a rural setting, but you also can.

The idea is they are supposed to go back to their districts and hold things like open halls and listen to their constituents.
Doesn’t happen these days

I mean they only did a continuing resolution so they can 100% force the issue again. Maybe once the average American actually sees the increase they’ll care.
Personally I think this was the strategy from the beginning, but the way they played it made them look really weak.
There’s also a very good possibility they are juat bumbling around with no real strategy.
A septic system isn’t that expensive nor hard to maintain. If you have access to well water you can run it near independently. Assuming electricity of course, which is often available even in places without sewer or water.
All you need is to occasionally pay someone to come and pump the tank
Poison the air and recieve pieces of colored paper in exchange. It’s a good trade
In the Southeast you will banter like this with friends/acquaintances. For strangers you will passive aggressively compliment them. “Wow that sweater has such an interesting design. Where in the world did you find something like that?”
If you did and held for say 30-40 years you would have an amazing return on investment.
Funny how a government can fail, but the corporations keep going
