Haste is a keyword that does not typically need reminder text. They specifically put that reminder text in there so Shadowfax can show you the definition of haste

Isn’t “Learn to pronounce” just something you click on a webpage and not what would be in a physical book?
Shadowfax is being passive aggressive; he doesn’t like how Gandalf pronounces it.
No I’m pretty sure my paper dictionary had that.
He doesn’t truly know, he’s just tapping his hoof and we are interpreting that to think that he knows:-).
Gandalf: “I can easily replace you with an eagle.”
Joke’s on him. Eagles can’t read and won’t be able to show him the meaning of haste.
